Access & Subscription: The Gyanitalk app requires user login. Many features require an active subscription; you must maintain a valid subscription to access subscription-only features.

This page explains our policies relating to the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service.

By using the Service you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Terms used here have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions unless otherwise defined.

  • Personal information: name, email address, phone number, profile image, birthdate, gender, anniversary date, and location (if you provide them).
  • Astrology data: birth details and other information you supply to enable consultations.
  • Device and usage data: device model, OS version, IP address, app configuration, timestamps, and usage statistics.

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and personalize the Service (including profile, recommendations and consultations).
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Communicate account or service information (e.g., updates, support messages).
  • Improve and analyze the Service, fix bugs, and monitor performance.

Permissions Required

The app may request device permissions to enable full functionality:

  • Camera — for video consultations.
  • Microphone — for audio and video consultations.
  • Contacts — optional, only if you explicitly permit contact import or sharing.
  • Location — optional, used if you choose location-based features.
  • Network/Device — INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, VIBRATE, etc., are standard runtime permissions needed for app operation.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to power features (analytics, hosting, payments, authentication, etc.). Those providers may collect information described in their privacy policies. Examples include:

Payments

Paid products or subscriptions are processed through third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment card details. Payment information is handled directly by the payment provider and governed by their privacy policy.

Code of Conduct & Legal Policy — Gyanitalk

1. Respectful Communication

All users and astrologers must communicate respectfully in chat, audio, and video. Harassment, threats, hate speech, or abusive language are strictly prohibited.

2. User Misconduct

Prohibited behavior includes abusive/vulgar language, threats, intimidation, harassment, personal attacks, or discriminatory remarks. Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, forfeiture of balances, and where appropriate, legal action.

Possible legal references (example): IPC Sections 294, 504, 506, 509; IT Act (Section 67) — actions may be taken if required by law.

3. Astrologer Misconduct

Astrologers must maintain professional conduct. Misleading, abusive, discriminatory or threatening behavior may result in removal from the platform, suspension, and possible legal action.

4. Reporting & Complaints

If you encounter misconduct, use the in-app "Report" feature or email [email protected]. Reports are reviewed confidentially and fairly.

5. Evidence & Monitoring

For quality and safety, we may log chat, audio, and video interactions. These logs may be used to investigate reports and support enforcement actions when needed.
